The Red Devils’ struggles under David Moyes have been well-documented this term, with United currently seventh in the list and five points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
But former United defender Neville is confident that Moyes will guide the club to Champions League qualification.
“Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney will get fit and, when they do get fit, they will prove that they are still, in terms of a partnership, probably the most clinical and ruthless when it comes to scoring goals.
“If you look at the last two or three years, they have been the men who have contributed most, in terms of goals and assist. They just need to get them fit”, he continued.
Neville also issued his full support for Moyes, saying: “It is plainly obvious that he is taking time to get used to the football club and the football club is getting used to actually not having Sir Alex Ferguson around, but do I think they have got the right man? 100 per cent.
“I have said that from day one and he will be given the time to put right what has been happening in the last few months.”
