Cameroonian players do not travel to Brazil for payments

The newspaper "L'Equipe" reported that the players were scheduled to fly from Yaounde this morning on a chartered plane by President Paul Biya, but refused to do so because the bonuses offered the federation were not expected. 

The players of the Cameroon team refused to board the plane that would take them to Brazil for the World Cup by disputes over bonus payments, according to reports Sunday.

The French newspaper "L'Equipe" reported that the players were scheduled to fly from Yaounde on Sunday morning on a plane chartered by President Paul Biya, but refused to do so because the bonuses offered by the federation to participate in the World were not what they expected.

The report said that players on May 23 postponed a decision on a strike. Cameroon played two recent friendlies, a 2-2 draw with Germany and Moldova with a 1-0 win on Saturday.

Cameroon, which had similar problems before the 2002 World Cup, played his first game in Brazil on Saturday against Mexico.
